Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Windsurfin' Susie That's a 10-minute PB, so I can't complain, although I'll have a jolly good try ;-)

I ran a good race, but my fears about the start were realised. I spent the first 3 miles checking my speed, holding back downhill, unable to run freely as I'd been training. The result was that by half way my quads were already shot, and the downhill after the Wellesley 'scream tunnel' (amazing noise!) was very uncomfortable. I coped fine with the Newton Hills, including Heartbreak, but couldn't profit from the downhills, with flaps of exploded quads dragging along the road behind me.

I haven't downloaded all my HR data, but it looked like I paced it well. I did a positive split by a few minutes so not bad under the circumstances, and entirely what you expect at Boston.

I was told that due to the high quality field I should expect to be in the bottom 10% rather than the top 10%, so am over the moon with my 191st in age category.

I made a total fool of myself at Heathrow having to walk between terminals 3 and 2 to get the diverted car park bus, up and down loads of painful ramps. I was handed my bags after the drop off at the car park, to then collapse on the ground unable to get back up and had the other passengers lift me back onto my feet. This is the worse my legs have ever been, including my very first marathon and Beachy Head!

Great stuff - loved it!

I'll put a full report and piccies on my blog http://runsusierun.blogspot.com/ later (Thursday)
