Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Lieutenant Lucerne Fastest time over this course. Ran steadily to 7K and then picked up the pace on the downhill stretch. As in previous year I found the final 800m or so on the grass hard going.

Schnecke Considering that I didn't decide to run this until this morning, I had a really good race. A nice course, and fairly quick, with a few undulations that didn't feel very taxing. I knew I wasn't going for a pb, so I just relaxed and enjoyed it. It was lovely to see RichK, who was doing the photos. I think I was second to last out of my club mates, but that just meant there were more of them to cheer me in :-) Definitely one to do again.
Memorable moments were - the old guy in a car who nearly ran a woman just in front of me over at a junction! The long line of smartly-dressed, shaven-headed young men walking single file down the hill as all the runners piled past them - they must have been from the RAF base - perhaps they were going to church, because they weren't marching! The cheery marshall who shouted to me to pick up the pace because there was a vegetarian just behind me - a bit random but it made me laugh (and speed up - for the honour of omnivores everywhere ;-) )
