Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Oooo lovely jubley XB and Derby Tup. It’d be absolutely ace if you can both do it this year

Aiming for that finish line the Yorky Bus is “GO”

Today’s run was a little run warm up with a dip in the river before running back to join the Sunday swim. It’s “just” warm enough for this again. I’m really looking forwards to doing more off road in the build up and I’m lucky down here to have Dedham and also Right next to us Fingeringhoe (not a made up name!) too.. two runs down and plotting to kick into better training from Tuesday

If it’s ok it’d be ace to track some training in here for encouragement ❤️

Todays plan is to attempt a local off road loop from here into the nature reserve and back

I had an up and down week with a head cold that never showed up apart form cotton wool brain. It left me plugging out mile runs annoyingly

I’ve managed two row club ERG row machine sessions though which is good. One was a 2k benchmark. My times not great at the moment and need to get more in

So.. Yorky long run training starts today and I’m feeling up for it

With Swittle in mind this one.. yesterday after a long muddle headed day I headed out and my word the mile was a bouncy one! I felt that the “trundle” was the right word and actually more bouncy than I have felt in a very long time!

Morning :)

Yay for a bouncy trundle FRU

And that made me smile DT :)

I’m running at Ilkley Half Marathon in July aiming for a course best so training focus is on that for now, and Ilkley Trail Race is at the end of May

Need to get my new off roaders muddy, after all Swittle once called me the ballerina of the bog 🩰

It’s lovely that we can have him in mind with music and movement he’ll be very much missed

Ballerina rascal! 😂

My new shoes need some mud too.. I’m not sure why I am holding them back.

I’ll have my eyes on you and your training. Your doing brilliantly already so we’re right with you for that target I think your going to smash it

I am determined also to try and get my head around how to add pictures. Mine always seem to fail I must be a right fool! Help me if this goes shape of pear 😂

Long run/trundle/march done
7 muddy miles
Beautiful
Out in the wide open estuary countryside near us

Rascal 3 unwell so I headed out with stubborn head firmly in place. It was boiling! And very muddy. Not easy. But done. The wind built up as predicted.. our major local gig race is cancelled tomorrow which is a shame however 7 run miles is smile worthy today

We’ll have to do some cross training instead tomorrow

Ok. Now to try a picture. Bear with me callers 🙈

About This Thread

Maintained by FRU (KeepTheFaith)
I’m glad to know we have some of the previous runners back for this event this yet and of course mine and Northerns annual pilgrimage and meet with those of you who are coming along. Be great to see all of you. New and old faces.

There will be a very special reason to attend this year and do a start mile and end mile with Swittle in mind

Derby Tup, Northern and I plus XB and Kev Scone all want to do a something for Swittle

Last year we invented the “Rascals” named after Howarth fat rascals and also used by Swittle with his “around the rugged moors the ragged rascals ran”
