Flossie is having a good week :-) We went in the garden this afternoon for me to mow the lawn. As I was getting the mower out of the shed, which is right down at the bottom of the garden, Floss was patrolling the boundaries as usual. Suddenly she caught the scent of something and charged across a patch of obedient plant to the foot of a bay tree which has leaf cover down to the ground. All I could see was an erect tail poking out of the foliage :-) when a little fox cub shot out the other side of the bush and round the back of the shed. Floss gave chase but (I suspect slightly to her relief) the cub had gone into next door's garden through a gap that was too small for her. All the time I was mowing the lawn she was trotting back and fore along the bottom boundary in a very self important manner :-)

Holly has eaten through 2 harnesses already so we gave up on that idea. She now has one of those boot guards in my car and sits in the foot well in my husbands car (she's rarely in that one). We may reconsider the harness again when she grows up enough to stop eating her accessories!

He's outgrowing it now, but we don't want to get a new one just yet because he keeps ripping it apart and trying to eat the foam inside!

We keep the inner part on the floor for him, but keep the main part out of his reach until he gets really tired.

Ah the tearing the bed to shreds stage.... we went through that stage too. Not sure if it is an actual phase of puppyhood (Wanda was about 9 months or so when we got her) or if it is just a security and adjusting to the new home thing. We had one bed that started brand new but very soon was held together with gaffa tape until there was more tape than bed and a second that went the same way. The third one though is absolutely fine a good couple of years on... :-)

Dexter went through a bed shredding stage too. Thank goodness he doesn't do that now :)

That's a lovely photo Nick. heart

Charlie is also a bed shredder. His first bed is his preferred item to hump now.
