Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Sad day :-( Sproglet needs to find a safe home for her GSD/Malamute cross. Despite all their preparatory work and advice from the behaviourist etc it snapped at the baby yesterday.

Sigh... I've put out feelers, but if anyone knows of a safe and calm refuge/home with no other pets or chuildren... (lest anyone jump to comclusion - it's not suitable for D2 as it has chased horses)

I remember ...I'm sure girl. Very, very pretty - will be quite big if she's half malamute.

That's very sad H, my sympathies, I know only too well what a hard decision that is. Pretty girl I'm sure she will find a good home.

She isn't very big actually - in fact she's quite dainty and treads like a dancer - very light on her feet.

At the moment the GSD rescue places won't take her because she has shown aggression and is fear-reactive. It is such a shame as they put a lot of work into calming her down and reducing her stress and understanding how to avoid triggers (such as the strange man who put his hand into her face saying, "She won't hurt me" after he had been asked not to do that). She doesn't trust strangers, but is friendly and sociable with people she knows (like me!). The worst scenario is obvious, so we're approaching every rescue to see if they can help.

If anyone has any ideas about how to find a good home, and avoid her being picked up by the fighting-dog fraternity, I'd be glad to pick your brains.

What about The Dogs Trust, H? It is such a shame. She's a lovely looking dog.
