When I got home BaronBR had a face like thunder. It would appear that because Wanda was 'in such a deep sleep that she was almost unconscious' he did not shut her in the hall with all other doors closed as is usual practice. By the time he got back she had found - and eaten - a packet of ten tripe sticks and half a bag of dried sprats (there was only half a bag - obviously if it was full she'd have eaten the lot.)
