Yes we've done a fair bit of that kind of obedience in the past and now have a trainer who likes heelwork to music so we do a lot of weaving through legs and that sort of thing. I don't mind doing them 'for fun' because weaving through legs is quite a useful distraction to be able to do if I see another dog approaching in the distance when out on a walk but I don't think it's something I'd want to pursue to competition level!

How did today go Penw? I'm currently "stuck at work" because chester is fast asleep on my knee and I don't want to disturb him. our cuddled up moments like this are my favourite.

That looks lovely MN. If I try that kind of thing he just bites me at the moment.
Today has been very trying MN. Technically I don't finish until 6:30 - I started at 10am this morning. I didn't help myself by booking in an exceedingly busy day (pre getting puppy). The poor thing has been neglected and has been barking a lot and crying and also snoozing. I had to abort one of my sessions as doing some PTSD trauma work with a puppy howling in the background wasn't likely to be successful. I did try to take him out in the car to a new park in the rucksack to tire him out but he ended up snoozing at the wrong times! So feeling a bit downhearted about how I will cope with the 3 days work I do (one day at home and 2 in work) and whether he'll get to being able to cope with being left and having 2 walks/visits from a dog walker. My friend is round again trying to entertain him while I finish off work but I can hear him barking downstairs - I think he's a bit overwrought and stressy and a bit bored bless him.
Please tell me it gets easier. He's 10 weeks and 5 days.

Sweet photo
Floss is feeling much happier again today thank you. It's such a shame that just as her fur was starting to grow back she's now got three more shaved patches - a real piebald dog

I've taken to working on the sofa MN as Arlo spends most of his day curled up on/next to me. Very cute though.
Great news about Floss as well.
And Pen, it does get better. We look back and don't even know when it got easier, just seemed to happen. I remember it being really stressful and us arguing etc and then it was just easier. Still have our moments but the stress was definitely worth it now he has settled down more.
