Sharkie - Wanda used to be exactly the same with fireworks - rush into the garden all guns blazing - have a good old bark to scare them away and another bark if more dared appear while she was out there. Sometimes if it was the main village display which we can see from our garden she would just look up and watch them - but now it's as if she is a different dog..... I don't know when or how she went from brave dog seeing them off to spooked out of her wits dog - I don't think there was a particular 'incident' that I can think of.

Oooh mathschick, please share a photo! Skye is a blue merle, so also unusual colouring. There must be a photo in my gallery.

Orange blob out, German Shepherds in! Trump famously first president NOT to have dogs in the White House - Biden set to put that right with two GSDs - on of whom will be the first rescue dog. cnet.com |

Arlo ill, again. Went to vets twice last week and back today for another issue. Think he has an eye infection/conjunctivitis as eye is weeping and bloodshot. Hasnt touched his food and only ate half yesterday. Last week, had his glands done on Tuesday, then on the Friday was back as was going mad at his paws and licking/biting them. Vet thought something lodged that we had got out when we bathed him. Checked his glands again and they were nearly full again after only 3 days. |

Roberto. Just a thought - some kind of food allergy could cause anal gland issues, weeping eyes and biting paws etc. What food is he on?

I thought that and have raised the glands issue with the vet who wasn't concerned about it being his food. He is on wainwrights hypoallergenic kibble. The vets have recommended having his glands removed. Just back from there now and he does have an eye infection so has drops for it. Fine in himself though. |

He's an unlucky dog to have so many issues I hope (and imagine) as he grows up he'll develop a stronger immunity to passing bugs.
