Fab photos. Here’s Ernie yesterday being very helpful by lying on the wheels of my office chair preventing me getting it pulled close enough to my desk. Sigh. |

Meetings with remarkable dogs (i) Usher, 9-y-o Labrador guide dog, out for a run with a neighbour of his owner. Usher is almost white all over. The 'walker' told me the breeder chose a theme for the names of dogs in each litter. (ii) a silver grey racing whippet, not in competition, v friendly, healthy, shiny coat. Owners said they placed a water jacket around him to keep him cool - he jumps when first feeling the cool of the surface! |

Ralph obviously thinks he's not getting enough exercise and is running like mad in his sleep - he just woke himself up by kicking me very hard!

LOL rosehip. I just posted this elsewhere but feel the need to share here. I have bathed, dried, brushed and clipped the dog. Couldn’t have done it without QP and a bag of treats. If I had paid someone to do it I would be disappointed but I’m actually really chuffed with my handiwork. Only a couple of bits that I’d like to sort out with some scissors. We have since been to the beach to cool off. |

Our groomer has reopened and is working through the backlog. Our two are booked in a week on Tuesday - they are a bit shaggy atm

I’ve cut husband’s and daughter’s hair during lockdown but didn’t dare try a fidgety pup. Thankfully Charlie got an appointment with his groomer last Thursday. He looks great and is so much happier in himself. Just a shame she couldn’t give me a trim whilst she was at it!

He was a bit fidgety to begin with but then we had QP at one end with treats and me working at the other end. He suddenly just settled and seemed resigned to it happening. Apart from wanting to sit or lie down, and not liking me near his face, he was a wee star. He's never keen on me brushing his legs but mostly tolerated me clipping them.

I get the scissors out for Ralph's feathers whilst he's still on the lead after a walk - hook lead over door, trim feathers on front legs. Repeat next days for back legs - etc etc. I can't imagine him ever letting a groomer giving him a proper clipping! |

Anyone caught Andrew Cotter’s Lockdown Sports Commentary on his dogs? This one from a couple of days ago made me chuckle. twitter.com |

Yes they are fab aren't they. I'd seen a couple but then Sharkie blogged about them too and I realised there were a couple that I hadn't yet seen - I think Game of Bones is still my favourite though.....
