If only Flossie could also remember what cause the 'dried fruit incident' visit on that occasion - but I expect she has selective memory for self inflicted food related incidents .... ;-)

Ernie is always delighted to be at the vet. I think the opportunities to say hello to so many people/dogs/cats and sniff interesting smells override any unpleasant encounters.

Ernie is currently sleeping in the washing basket on top of QP's bedding which is waiting to go in the machine.

Ahem! I was just trying to fold my clean bedding and he decided to stand on the end of the duvet. He's a funny bugger.

While we're talking stuff for dogs - does anyone have anything like this lordsandlabradors.co.uk for their dogs? There is also a version I've seen online which is a bag lined with towelling. I'm wondering about getting one for Flossie. When she's been in the sea or in the local pond, I dry her off as best I can but it can take ages for her to dry off. OK, she's a dog with a fur coat :-) but I just wonder if as she gets a little older drying off more quickly would be a good plan. It might also help to keep some of the mud contained!

I've thought about the bag thing. Ernie likes to lie on my bed and having a way to get him dry/clean quickly would really help. I'm fairly certain he would hate it.

Rory has a cheap variation on that, but it’s far too big for him, and you can’t fasten it round the middle- it’s basically just a hooded thin towel.

He *hates* it, but he looks bloody hilarious in it, so I mainly just use it as a towel but sometimes I put it on him for a few minutes for my amusement :-)

Buzz has got one of the cheap versions too. He doesn't seem too mind it too much (although he's very easy going). We use it when stuffing him in the car after he's been swimming - particularly when it's cold. It was a good buy.
