Indi has one of these that I got when it was on offer, it works well and he doesn't mind it at all. It stays on well. I use it if we have driven for a walk and he is a lot dryer by the time we get home. In the past with other dogs and less spare cash (!) I have used an old t shirt or jumper which works just as well ruffandtumbledogcoats.com In summer you can soak in water and put on them to keep cool which also works well I found. |

Ralph has one of the zip up bag towel thingies- he hates it, but after a day on the beach it keeps all the sand in one place and it minimises the amount of Lake district bog that ends up in the car. waitrosepet.com |

Thanks all. I think I'll get one just to see. If she doesn't like wearing it we can just use it as an ordinary towel.

Sorry LD didn't realise it was the same thing till I took the time to look at your link. I think they are great I'm sure she will love it, they seem really comfortable. What colour will you get?

Jess has a cheapo free version we got from Honey's raw food. You may remember just how queenly she looks in her cape.... |

I think I might invest. The back of my car is full of sand and I can barely see out of the back windscreen because of the salt water/sand coating.

Very grand Jess but we would not expect anything less.

I have also looked at those for Wanda as she hates being wet and one of those in the car on the way home after a rainy day long walk away from the village would be great. Funnily enough before reading this thread I had done just that today - we got soaked on our walk so on the way home I wrapped a towel round her in the car and it was still vaguely over her when we got home so she clearly didn't really hate it. I've wondered about those zip up towel bags that they sit in too but I don't really like the idea of containing all her legs like that, especially in the car where she might want to move around. I think I will probably get one of the drying coats though at some point. |

We were impressed by those much grander ones LD and D2 have posted... Raffo says we must get one for Jess. GSD sized, D2?

I was actually considering some sort of coat for when we do west highland way. Ernie is generally ok when we're out in the hills but I don't know how he'd be if we got a day of sideways rain.
