Not sure if any of you saw this awful destruction of a dog without giving it a chance to be rehomed? There is now a petition... I don't normally do this sort of thing but I was incensed by this... bear with....

I have been following this through an Expert Witness in DDA cases on Facebook. Just appalling. I'll take a look at that petition later.

That story suggests a worrying lack if understanding, compassion and empathy. imo...

Oh dear Indi.......

My beautiful, kind, gentle and reasonably well behaved dog reacted to another dog for the first time ever. I'm so shocked and upset really.

The other dog a young male black lab came rushing very agressively at Indi, who was on the lead. Indi snarled and showed all his teeth and the other dog backed off. I suppose you could say Indi was standing up for himself for the first time!

I didn't recognise Indi's face like that, it shocked me.

Am I being silly?

You mustn't be upset! He is still the same beautiful, kind, gentle and well behaved dog. He was telling the lab to do just that - BACK OFF! It doesn't make him any different to yesterday.

Also he may have seen you as being under some sort of threat. Even though you weren't.

Agree totally with Sharkie. The other dog was being rude and ill-mannered to Indi and Indi was telling him that sort of behaviour is not required.
