Oops, poor Ernie. I bet he’s forgotten about it by now though Thanks, D2. I give Rory peanut butter quite a lot. Stupid question, if there is xylitol I assume it will be in the ingredient list?? It’s not one of those things where it’s such small amounts they don’t have to bother? |

Useful reminder, D2, thamks. It must be the day for upchucking pups . Lottie goes back to my sister on Monday and frankly I can't wait. Her chewing has been off the scale (she's just had a little nibble on the corner of my laptop as I'm typing this!!) and both OH and I have each had a pair of shoes ruined and numerous socks destroyed (not to mention furniture all showing signs of chewing, just like Flossie did) while she's been staying with us. Anyway this morning she vomited some unidentifiable piece of pink fabric. No idea what it was or where it came from, though my guess is something she found out on her beach walk with OH earlier today. I only hope she's got rid of the whole thing - I am haunted by my friend's Lab puppy £3000 bill and touch and go recovery from an intestinal blockage |

I don't know the answer I'm afraid Maz, I'm just passing on from a fb post. We could ask flatlander he is really good on that kind of thing. Maybe put it in a blog and ask if anyone knows?

Hey Mazlin (and other nearby dog owners) have you seen that QE park has a new dog activity course? m.facebook.com I may be available to stand nearby and applaud if it helps |

That looks like fun Dipps! Lottie seems to be functioning entirely normally today following her unconventional meal choices yesterday Speaking of 'functions', has anyone used paper poo bags? I've been thinking about our use of plastic (hasn't everyone) and poo bags are well up on our list. I can only find this make online - anyone know if they're any good? The problem I can see immediately is that they aren't as easy to stuff in a pocket (unused!!) poobagsdirect.co.uk |

For some reason, paper poobags just don’t appeal. Are they really that much better than the eco friendly biodegradable plastic bags on offer, I wonder?

I don't know, Alice. I'd be grateful if someone would do the research and tell us. I'm not even sure what happens to the contents of dog poo bins - is it incinerated or just sent to landfill? If the latter, I believe that the bio-degradable stuff takes a couple of years to break down, but is that the same as 'disappear completely' or does it mean 'break down into small particles'? And there's the issue of manufacture - making plastic bags is less environmentally benign than making paper bags - or is it? *head explodes*

It’s good to think about it though!
