Heelwork to Music (at least it is at our classes - I don't know if it means something different in D2's part of the world )

I tried Rally Obedience at a 'have a go' session once but (and I am sure if I had persevered I would have got used to it) I found all the signs quite confusing so by the time I had looked at the curly arrow, computed that it meant an about turn to the left, worked out which way was left and which side of the cone I was thus meant to be, I'd wasted so much time and Wanda had got bored waiting. Also the instructor was one of those brusque women who looked at me rather pityingly and said something like 'What do you mean you don't really know your left from your right.' I didn't feel at that point I would do very well in her classes!

What’s Rally Obedience? Sounds intriguing. (I also don’t know my left from my right, and have mega problems with riding and ‘right rein left rein’.)
We have taught Rory to ‘alert’ in scentwork by lying down. When he’s in the mood he is SO GOOD at it. When he’s not in the mood...well, last week he found where the scent was hidden, then peed on it. Bloody dog.

Rally Obedience is a kind of doggy dressage test (I'm trying to use a familiar analogy here Maz!). So a 'course' is set up and you have to 'do something' at each stage (there is a little sign telling you what you have to do) So it might be an arrow at a right angle and you have to walk (with the dog in heel/close) in that direction, or an arrow that goes all the way round so you have to do an about turn and so on....
Actually reading the above back it makes no sense to me never mind anyone else.... probably just best to google it
