Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I had a head of broccoli, some of the florets of which went into a stir fry. This left a lot of woody fibrous stem. So I cut it up, softened it in the microwave, and then dumped in the little soupmaker with some chopped onion, a stock cube, and some lentils for thickness. When finished, some grated cheese. It was delicious. To think that I used to throw broccoli stalks away.

I’ve made another batch of carrot, tomato, pepper and coriander

I roasted both the tomatoes and the pepper and have put a bit less fresh coriander in than last week

Another broccoli stalks and assorted leftovers soup in the little glorified kettle as I type. It's smelling good, just add some grated cheese and a dib of hot chili sauce when serving.
