For my two pence worth, keep it as is but maybe with a rolling 12 month (or decaying points). Extra points rather just W/L is good. I’m 118-0 up this week so could probably just call it a day but it is good to be rewarded for picking up a few extra squares. Similarly when getting trashed it is good to be rewarded for a consolation cameo run |

Nice one Christy👌🏻 This game certainly makes me get out more than I normally would. I purposely dropped out the game for a while with the aim to train on better suited terrain for my races but I found that my mileage dropped dramatically! I now try and balance away days with square hunting days and not take the game to seriously (apart from last week where JCB had me running in circles at all god-dam hours of the day and night😬) Wallman👍🏻 bit.ly |

While rewarding people for losing is probably some government social policy in these days of everything has to be inclusive and positive, I don't feel it has a place in this game. Also awarding points for a loss roughly keeps positioning the same and just stretches out the range of scores, which means that you are likely to end up playing the same person many times as relative positions don't change much; something that we are seeing more and more. Award fixed points for a win and then bonus points to both runners based on % of the grid explored. As the grid currently cannot show squares explored by each person, the bonus points should be awarded equally to both players based on the % coverage. If an option can be made to show personal grid coverage, then bonus points could be on a personal %, which gives a losing player another incentive to get out there and run a bit more. This will give people playing JCB or macca reasons to keep running while they pick off empty squares. These points should be at a lesser level than the win points (so a loser of a game cannot score more than a winner, otherwise changes in position could be hindered, making rankings, and hence future opponents, not reflective of performance). I think... |

i like the idea of reward for squares covered personally, rather than total by the pair. but maybe that distracts from the competition element?

But it's a bit unfair on those like JCB and Icelandic Tri Girl who only have about 140 squares available whereas i have 222. It's a tricky one.
