I did wonder why your score suddenly went to 0 last week, McG

rhb - Well done, you've definitely got me now. Shift pattern and CBA curtailed my running this week.

My plans to cycle the 1.5k to work were scuppered by rain. Normally, it wouldn't phase me, but since I've already lost my voice and have a bad, chesty cough, I'm not taking chances. I've been down the pneumonia route once before and it was once too often for my liking.

I'm thinking of adjusting my square location slightly. I think some calculations may need to be done to ensure what I loose on the golf course I don't gain in ploughed fields

Bugger. Planned 10 mile run to starting with 6th birthday parkrun (not in square) and picking up lots of squares on a convoluted route on the way back home.

Car wouldn't start.

Remonstrate with car.
Car still sulking.
Dash indoors.
Ask to borrow T2's car.
T2 in pre-9am fugue state takes ages to find keys.
Climb in (literally - 2 door car with the passenger door held on with mole grips).
Car running on fumes.
Get to petrol station. Buy petrol.
Arrive at parkrun 30 secs before start.
Realise have forgotten Garmin.
Decide to run short way home and collect Garmin before shorter square-collecting run.
Do so.
Realise after half a mile that Garmin thinks I'm cycling. Stop. Save. Set to running mode.
Half a mile later glance at Garmin.
Have forgotten to press Start.

The original forgetting it cost me at least 8-10 squares and the 0.6 I didn't record would have nabbed me two squares, taken control of two from my opponent and turned another into cake.

Never mind #DFYB - don't forget your GPS, people!

We swam in the cable lake today. It's just outside the grid :-( Then I ran around the parkrun course before RD'ing. It's outside the grid. :-( And there's me impatiently waiting for the imports to complete!!!

This might be a stupid question but I can't find the answer in the sidebar - how do you turn a square into cake and what does it mean points wise?

Pikelet a cake square means that you and your opponent have been through the square on equal occasions so I guess technically the cake means it is a draw that is how I view it anyway.
