It would make it easier for newbies to get into the game in the future when dirtbum has a ranking of 5,945 or something in a year or two

Can you imagine a newbie having to wait that long to approach the top of the leaderboard, that would take patience! I was a few weeks late signing up for WSW and I'm still catching up (at a rate of about +31 points a week). At least in Fetchpoint you can build a good score in 6 weeks from nothing.
