Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I have an 800 for cycling, it does proper maps... Bought it years ago but is still up to date. Thing is, it has a touch screen, so I can't just pop it in a pocket and run...

I have yet to try to upload it to Fetch though, so that may not work anyway.

Can you not lock the touch screen? www8.garmin.com I've been thinking of getting the modern equivalent eg the Edge Explore.

That raises the next question: if you use a device that records the wrong activity-type for what you are doing, then you manually edit and correct on Fetch, will WSW reflect what you want? I've been thinking of using an old Forerunner 220 to log bike miles for WSW, but it only logs running. I could edit the activity-type on Fetch but I'm not sure what WSW would think and I don't want to look like I'm attempting a deception.

Simple answer Steve is Yes - there's sometimes a bit of a lag as it all updates itself but the combination of game/training log is smart enough to pick up a change in activity type and adjust your score accordingly.

Thanks! Maybe I'll try it, then.

Ah, I hadn't thought about that! My 301 does both cycling and running, but doesn't talk to 't internet. My 800 only does cycling...

Miss CW is back at home, doing well with a bit of a swollen mouth (she had 2 teeth out under general anaesthetic).

I managed to run to and from my race this evening so got a few more squares :-)
