Think it should be like a football league. 3 points for a win, 1 for draw. Like to see how last week game finished

My map grid and score grid still don't match up. According to the score grid, I ran in places that are inaccessible.

A few bug fixes (this has been my first opportunity to update the code since Wednesday):
1) There's now a 'Match History' section on the main page, so you can see your recent results. I envisage this turning into something that can be displayed against player names, like they do for the recent results in footie.
2) The map grid on your own match should now tally with your chosen home point.
As we're still in the prototype stage, I've created matches for all the players who have joined in after the match list was generated on midday at Monday.

I'm gonna look at the scores within the squares now, as Elsie et al have pointed out some likely bugs.

Does match history mean we could have a side completion along the lines of fetch betting on who would win a match, BBC Lawro style?
I have been thinking about the possibility of a geocaching/virtual fetch relay game where a virtual message in a bottle is picked up on a run and passed to the next runner who picks it up unkowingly....you get a nice message or donethibg after the run has been uploaded.

Sorry if it's been said before, but it looks like the game is only any good if you are an early runner (who can log your runs straight away). Since I can't the double points for the first runner to log the run simply destroys the game for me.
Or I could change when my normal running pattern is to give me a chance in the game.
Otherwise, it looks fun, although it won't sensiibly work for me since I live on the side of an 1100ft hill in Scotland and this game will give me a private Barkley marathon-style challenge to venture through impenetrable forest and over steep cliffs, etc. Which is kind of appealing but the literal and metaphorical opposite of a level playing field. A game for those in cities?

Not necessarily about being early. A lot is about varying your route to go where your opponent is weakest, and building up the number of squares you own. They only get double points in the squares they reach first. You could log at ten to midnight and still get double points in unvisited squares - and your opponent would be too knackered to win them back.
As I always say, I do understand that it's difficult when your local area has inaccessible bits, but I would happily switch places with you and live amongst gorgeous scenery

I’m an early runner. The who logs first thing does seem a bit unfair ( except on a Monday) so I too wonder if it adds anything worthwhile.

And just a thought, but if your regular running involves taking a safe route down the hill and running around a nearby area, you could always move your whole grid to that area.

Sigh
The map grid is now correct with my revised home point, thanks!
My match history is wrong - it shows a 0-0 draw with Mark.
