Well done guys - much better WET scores than I could get. Lol sallyk, just looked at your last run - what must you look like dodging down someone's street then turning around after 20 metres and coming back?! G

I've just gone back and looked at my Melbourne week when I covered all 225 squares. My log shows 31.2 miles running, 6.6 miles of walks and a 3.9-mile bike ride (which was specifically to get the final square that I had missed). So that is 41.7 miles at 5.4 sq/mi. It definitely wasn't efficient as I had to go back and fill lots of gaps and I was also not targeting WSW efficiency with all those activities.

I've had someone on Stroovala comment on my crop circle runs (I run round the playing fields in summer in circles, sometimes decreasing, just for fun, for a mile or so, to get some grass, barefoot running in) because they look funny. What on earth all these wiggly WSW runs look like to them, I can't imagine! G

If I lived and worked in the same place, esp a town, I think it would be much easier to reap many squares. But I only do Tue-Fri in my square and lunch time runs are max about 4-5 miles, so I'll never a winner be. G

Pretty much G ! And I just realised I actually covered 56 squares on that run (I'd done four yesterday) and missed another couple very narrowly.

I think JCB has a widgetty-thingumy that automatically calculates the wsw-efficiency of his runs. I haven't calculated mine formally, but i know it's almost always a little better than one square a minute, which would make it better than 8 (5) squares a mile (km)

Never worked it out but this afternoon’s 3.4 miles would have got 22 squares (if it had all been in grid). So about 6.5 squares per mile

Hi, back to WSW after a longish break and wondering if there is consensus on the minimum amount of swimming required to qualify as an activity. Does playing with the children count? Either at a beach or in a pool? Whilst the distance covered is generally small it can be very active. Thanks.

Not sure there's a consensus, njo, but I would suggest that you have to have both feet off the bottom at the same time. 😂
