About 66N here, just shy of Arctic Circle.

There is a Steve in Norway, but I think Bergen (latitude of Shetland) but I expect lots of fetchies have run further north, e.g. Tromso and maybe Svalvard. I've jogged in Tromso and a tiny bit in Ittoqqortoormiit which is a bit north of Tromso but south of Svalvard. And I mean "a tiny bit' because you cannot leave the village without a rifle and the stones to take on a bear. I had neither.

Correct latitude-ish, @ITG 🇮🇸 but Halden in the SE, about 59. I have run in Tromsø too, but never made it to Svalbard (yet).

I've run in Longyearbyen at 78.22N, but that was on a trip, I didn't live there!

I swam in the sea at 80-something N too but not for very long :-o

I've finished a marathon a 156W. I'm not winning any awards for N, S, E, W extremities housewise though!

About This Thread

Maintained by GordonG
Out of idle curiosity I was wondering (without giving away any personal info) who are the most northerly, easterly, southerly and westerly Fetchies. Perhaps three lists: in the UK, Europe and the World (with east and west being defined by a standard Euro-centric map).

I guess the limitation would be being based permanently (or long-term) in that location i.e. not there for a one-off race or a holiday.

Anyone want to volunteer themselves for one of these lists? :-)
