Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Another one who is waiting.

Last time I got is was 2011, so it's been rejected all the way since. So have a growing collection on VLM reject clothing.

Kind of thinking if I will bother again if it's another "Sorry" mag that goes straight into the recycling bin.

I seem to be able to coupe with the rejection though ,as it doesn't stop me doing the same for New York.....

@jangles - very odd. I get a consistent view across all devices, iPad, iPhone, Windows 10 laptop, Windows 8 desktop at work. Whatever I use the result is the same. It makes no sense for you to see a different result depending on what device you’re using.

@Jangles - are you sure you’re looking at the 2019 ballot entry? Can you post a screen shot, it will show the date.

Entered the ballot in 2007 and was successful (first time).

Haven't entered since until the 2019 ballot. Genuinely can't remember why I put my name in the hat this time (the evils of drink?), as I think that London is one huge 'circus'.

There are so many better marathons out there.

Would today be a decent day to try to get a suitable Premier Inn on free cancellation booked? If so, where would you be looking - closer to the start, or closer to the finish?

If you're on an overnight stop, I would travel light, stop near the start so you can put all your belongings in the baggage trucks. That way you'll have a short and easy journey to the start in the morning, then you'll have all you need when you finish.

Well no doubt I'll have cursed any chance of a ballot success if I do get anything booked, but I'll have a look...

larkim, bear in mind you've to visit the Expo to get your no. and be 'merchandised'! Tube & DLR are well practised in getting folk around before & on event day.

Think this will possibly be my 12 attempt at entering. Only year I got a place was from my club and I had to defer and then foolishly didn’t sign up in time (as I ignored the emails as spam) so didn’t actually get my deferred place.

I’m not hopeful. I’m also not too bothered. I hate Virgin and Branson and the thought of marathon training again is a bit sickening to be honest.
