Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

(i.e. to request to withdraw from the ballot as well - it's probably said 'withdraw' since we registered in May.)

I have the reason to withdraw and concur that it's probably to withdraw from the ballot and not a portent of acceptance.

And to add that I'm looking at a 6th rejection on the trot, although I did bite the charity bullet one year.

Both of the entries logged to my realbuzz account (1 for me 1 for my son, I'm not trying to scam two entries!) have the "withdraw" box available, so I presume that that is just "standard".

Thanks larkim.

In recent years it's just been the excitement of whether you get a 'proper' rejection with a magazine, or just an email.

I'm a ballot newbie so have yet to taste the bitter pill of the rejection email / magazine, but entered as they "stole" my GFA from me :( with the change in the GFA times.

I wonder how excited / disappointed I'll actually be with the outcome?

Most entrants will just receive a 'sorry' email...a lucky few will get a 'sorry' magazine, and from what I hear ALL SUCCESSFUL applicants will receive a 'congratulations' magazine.

If this is true, I would expect magazines to be hitting the doormats next Monday and Tuesday (maybe Wednesday). Rejection emails will probably start going out from Monday however, if it's like last year, it could be a week before all ballot entries are notified.

I expect social media will be awash with rejection emails next week and sprinkling of a few 'lucky' congratulations magazines.
