When did you last give blood?

Footpad Jan 2009 12:22pm, 15 Jan 2009 3,639 posts	0 Footpad My blood made a 'thud' as it dropped down the test tube it went so fast! I hate needles but still go as often as I can... one benefit is I am a fast bleeder so get to have my biscuit and drink sooner than my wife when we go together.

EarlyRiser Jan 2009 12:25pm, 15 Jan 2009 367 posts	0 EarlyRiser I read on another thread, can't remember who, that since running can increase your blood volume it reduces blood cell density hence more likely to fail the test tube test. One remedy proposed was not to drink before taking test!

It's a different one for Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Doesn't matter. Those of us who are there prob know this anyway. I'm a fast bleeder too. That's in blood donation. In running I'm more of a slow fecker, than a fast bleeder! :-)G

I have always wondered why thats such a big deal, do I have less blood than everyone else or summat?
