Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

When did you last give blood?

Do you think more people would give blood if they paid you (or gave you a discounted National Insurance rate or something)? I got a begging letter from them about a fortnight ago as I have a rare blood group and they really needed me to go but I can't for the above reasons so they seem to need to change their approach. A keyring isn't enough!

Yes, I'm on iron tabs at the mo. The bran flakes in the morning aren't enough for me. I would like to go again but can't for another fortnight...

Oh well, just hope you never need blood!

If they started paying people you would get druggies and p*ssheads etc turning up!

The main problem is very few people actually want to put effort into doing something that they don't directly benefit from.

Last time a couple of months ago. They always write to me as a reminder when they're in the area, about every 3-4 months, and I just pop along.
