Also, persuading World Of Books to refund me money for a water-damaged, yellowed copy of Barchester Towers they claimed was in 'good' condition. We're not talking mega-bucks (£2.99), more the principle of the thing. They initially offered 50% off - I suggested they refund me 75% so I wouldn't pay more than I would have done for a similar book from a charity shop (75p) and they said okay, without any further argument.
