Thankfully, a lot of councils' Civil Enforcement Officers do come down hard on this. In addition, I find smokers particularly weak, which helps me deal with their general inconsiderate behaviour - 'Too weak to say no in the first place and now too weak to quit.'

TommyK Nov 2018 8:05am, 5 Nov 2018 66 posts	0 TommyK To briefly detour back to the brake lights issue, on our car it's the auto hold function that activates the brake lights, nothing to do with the gearbox. When you come to a stop, the car automatically keeps the brakes on, hence the lights (it doesn't have a manual handbrake).
