Grey paint. Pretty much every newly built house is now painted grey. Can you imagine the classic pictures of Tobermory, or the beach huts at Wells, if a modern developer got his hands on them.

Fragile Do Not Bend
Grey is the new mushroom, which was the new magnolia.

Go to disagree with 'Paddy McGuinness' - I know nothing of his 'comedy' since his work with Peter Kay, but that penalty he took last night was one of the most hilarious sporting gaffes I've ever seen !

With you on the grey paint oi, and the grey cladding and doing up all the houses that have character with said grey paint and cladding and making them look dead and depressing.

Fitz
The house next door to us has just been painted a beach-front cottage jaunty shade of blue. Mrs Fitz hates it, people walking up the street stare open-mouthed at it. It's not a BAD colour, just incongruous with the rest of the street, the attention-seeking bastards!
So, I'd take grey, on balance.

I don't mind grey, but it does feel like it's being forced down our necks at present. We have a lovely oak kitchen and dining table, and my sil (who is an interior designer) always sighs when she comes round and asks "don't you think it's just a bit too brown?" Well, no, actually. I like the natural wood.

Seems a bit harsh to criticise wood for being wood colour.

Speaking of things being the colour they are (as it were) I really dislike gold jewellery. Or gold coloured anything, really (including brass). And rose gold. And I'm not a fan of non-verdisgrised copper.
So many otherwise lovely things come with gold coloured metal bits - handbags, shoes, clothes with metal zips or buttons...
#firstworldproblems I know.

I’m not a bling person, but I too have never been a fan of gold. I’ve always found it rather flash. A bit of silver is nice though; not too in your face.
