I used to like strawberries but these days they are a constant disappointment. As you say WA, they are large and flowery and I think that they’re bred for size and appearance rather than flavour. I like raspberries though.

Strawberries have a nasty habit of ‘unsettling my tummy’. Raspberries are great. As is gin; but proper gin not fruit infused none sense

he trick with strawberries is to smell the packet when you buy them. If they have a lovely strawberry smell then they will taste good. Even better, when I eat them I cut them up and sprinkle a tiny bit of sugar on them and let them maserate for a couple of hours at room temperature before eating.
