I'd put some (chip shop) chips back in the top half-oven to keep warm. When I opened the door, the wrapping paper caught fire. The paper must have been touching the top, heated up, and when I added oxygen ... I pulled the package out onto the oven door and couldn't quite decide what to do, as the flames licked higher and higher. Luckily, it wasn't that much paper, so didn't burn too long. And there wasn't ~that~ much smoke filling the kitchen. Unfortunately, the remaining chips were a bit overdone by now. (I would have tried one though, if they weren't also coated in ash.)
