Emily Reed was an on-stage backing singer in Daz Sampson's 2006 Eurovision flop "Teenage Life". She was brought is as a replacement for one of the original backing singers who was too young to take part in the live performance.

Three years previously she had finished second in the BBC Eurovision preselection competition, losing out to Jemini who went on to make UK Eurovision history in Riga by receiving no votes at all.
