[My Coros watch shows me solar noon as standard: it was 12:26 today. The twilight before sunrise and after sunset gives me an extra 41 minutes each end, which is useful in these northern latitudes where the sun does not arc so steeply]

For night orienteering, you cannot start events in open areas until the onset of astronomical twilight. Hence the use of timeanddate regularly here
