Our cat keeps bringing in live mice and voles at the moment and when I suggested to my husband he should just grab the rodent and take it outside, he reacted as if I had asked him to pick up a turd bare handed. I'm quite happy pick them up, alive or dead. Although I've found out that voles will bite back if you aren't careful.
