Supplementation. Male athletes rarely need to take iron and shouldn't ever do so without having a blood test first. And yes, it it. (It's different for women, though even then the need for iron should be established before taking it.) ncbi.nlm.nih.gov |

A flapjack is considered a Cake for tax purposes and therefore does not attract VAT. If you fanny about adding chocolate or fruit to a flapjack then it's still considered a Cake, but if you add any other cereal other than oats then its considered a biscuit and liable for VAT.

That's not entirely correct SD, cakes and biscuits are both zero rated for VAT, unless enhanced: 3.4 Bakery products Although most traditional bakery products, such as bread, biscuits and cakes, are zero-rated, some confectionery is standard-rated including: biscuits wholly or partly covered in chocolate (or some product similar in taste and appearance); and any item of sweetened prepared food, other than cakes and non-chocolate biscuits, which is normally eaten with the fingers. |

Although no expert I still think I was correct on the flapjack thing. I got my biscuit and confectionary confused though, the modified flapjack in my example makes it a cereal bar which I believe is confectionary and thus standard rate?? Regardless they're all yummy apologies if i'm still wrong. I'll shut up now. |
