Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I meant the telly, I watched the telly and the news that was leading wasn't IMO as important (but more Brit focused), I'm used to French news where they are very good at reporting around the world stories. It's not just the Beeb, it's a British thing in general, I have to subscribe to several non British news outlets otherwise I miss interesting European/African/Asian and even American news.

Manchester airport have said it was fake and the image was doctored.

(which was my first instinct, as said on last page).

Trouble with debunked hoaxes is, like the Terminator they come back from the dead in a few months/years time. (See the Mussolini hoax that Grush referenced - thus blowing any cachet he had - which IMO was not a lot, the Mussolini UFO was actually debunked by Italian UFO enthusiasts)

On the Lakenheath drones, you can actually hear the drone buzz on the video. Which makes it weirder that they haven't taken them out.

Reminds me of the latest beast of Bodmin flap we had at Lanhydrock this year , where a photo that looked possibly like a panther (if you squinted), or like a domestic cat - was firmly punctured by a Facebook comment going, that's the local cat and we even know his name.

(incidentally I'm a 100% skeptic on the Beast of Bodmin moor, only to find out from a local historian that in the 1990s the wildlife investigators took samples and determined samples of fur and from a kill site to be from a puma!!! But I'm still happy to say there is no Beast of Bodmin moor (if there was a puma, it's long dead). I am also aware of a big cat skull that was found in the river Fowey in 1976 - roughly the same time as the Dangerous animals act came into being). It seems, as with Dartmoor zoo's escaped lynx, animals do escape from zoos or private collections here from time to time.

The beast of Bodmin moor is more likely than a ufo.

Back on the UAP at Manchester - metabunk says the video and object ARE real, but it's the right size for a balloon, and that the video was possibly reversed to make it more convincing - so fakery of some sort + balloon.

Apparently Lakenheath tonight mucho drone activity again (source Daily Mail journo).

So what is it a) foreign activity b) local wacko activity c) no activity (as per Gatwick)?

The issue is that these things have been faked so often, and images are so easy to distort now using image manipulation techniques, or even to create totally false images that we can never trust any reports

Beeb goes mainstream on the drones over US airbases

bbc.co.uk

Critical quote - "This remains a live criminal investigation. To date, installation leaders have determined that none of the incursions impacted base residents, facilities or assets. The Air Force is taking all appropriate measures to safeguard the aforementioned installations and their residents".

If they were alien craft, they would be so advanced that they would have cloaking abilities, so they wouldn't be seen anyway. Why would something that could travel millions of light years not be able to camouflage itself, especially while dealing with idiots like humans.

If aliens are here, they must want to remain secret at the moment, maybe until the human race leaves it's current "caveman, my dick's bigger than your dick" phase. Might take a while at current rates of human "advancement".

If they don't want to remain secret, they'll tip up in a battlecruiser or two, and say "my dick is considerably bigger than your dick". Not with a pissy little thing over an airbase or two.

Yeah I think Russian drones is most likely. Hobbyist drones second most likely. US military new toys third most likely. Hysteria/Misidentification fourth most likely. Alien incursion one hundredth most likely.
