I’m still in as at yesterday after another music-free day at work. My only jeopardy is 45mins of breakfast tv in the crew room between 0630 and 0715. Survived yesterday and today it’s all about the post office scandal and sewage spills* so it’s looking good.

* not sure which of these is the more shitty! ;) :)

HOLY MOLY!!
That was a close call. I literally just turned the sound off the TV so that I could chat better to my mate Linda, and out of the corner of my eye I could see they’ve suddenly switched th the Last Christmas video and on the text it’s taking about an interview with Andrew Ridgeley at 0815.

Wow! Close one!! :)

We were up in London at a BFI event last night - I do like to live dangerously. Even went to the cafe at the IMAX. They were playing a selection of festive tunes but again, not WHAMmed

Still in! Scary moment on last night's club mince pie run: we were handed song sheets at the first house and the first song was ... Last Christmas! Fortunately the music accompaniment was some awful karaoke track and not the original!

I am at risk! Sitting in my office, and the staff outside have Xmas music playing - just had I Wish It Could Be Xmas Every Day, so I'm hanging by a thread.

I could just put my headphones on - but that feels against the spirit of Whamageddon :)

Although I’m out anyway I have not heard it at all except when I deliberately watched BBC2 on Saturday.

About This Thread

GOOGLE SHEET HERE:

docs.google.com

Sheet for 2024 is on the first tab; you update your own entry. As with previous years, we're also tracking the number of repeated 'hits' for those who are out before the end (if you want to).

Who's up for the challenge then? whamageddon.com

"The 1st Rule
The objective is to go as long as possible without hearing WHAM's Christmas classic; "Last Christmas".

The 2nd Rule
The game starts on December 1st, and finishes at the end of December 24th.
Use your local timezone, if you'd like.

The 3rd Rule
Only the original version applies.

The 4th Rule
You're out as soon as you recognise the song.

Player vs Player?
While we can't stop you from deliberately sending your friends to Whamhalla, the intention is that this is a survival game. Not a Battle Royale. So ... don't be a dick, okay?"
