The one across the road is called Loudons. I think there a new place opened next door, but haven't been there. Loudons is large and could probably acoomodate people, but it is not a bar. McGowans is a trek. As many will be going for the train back to Glasgow, maybe one close to haymarket would suit?

Yeah, you could be finished as early as mid 3pm Boab, with rest of us not finishing til 6pm. Are you going to hang about? Any idea what time prize giving will be and where? If they just hand you your prize as you finish, you're not going to want to hang about for 3 hours plus, are you? It's a shame they don't have something right at finish for people to hang about in. Where will supporters go for a sup while they wait?

I'm hoping to be finished between 3 and 4 if all goes to plan SB. Currently nursing a chest infection, thankfully on a week of very little running and no sessions!! I'll definitely be hanging around for a beer or two at the end.

Well it was such a lovely day that drinks n cakes were just partaken on the canalside! Dilemma resolved.
So, pleased with that for a 55 mile long run. Main thing was that I kept running and pushing as hard as I could, eve when gubbed. That's the attitude I need to have at 70 odd miles on the big day. Thanks so much to sants, whwrunner, duchess and loads super supportive fetchies. G

Massive congratulations to HappyG on your top 10 finish in the GE double marathon! And in an excellent time. You'll be on top form come June 20th
I came up for the Glee Club run from Bridge of Orchy to Ft Wm and loved every minute of it. In fact I was the only one to complete the full 35m distance as the others all had other plans. Very modest time and slow especially over the Lairig Mor but still thrilled to have got such good specific training in my legs. A confidence booster for the Fling and WHWR coming up.
