Wow, what a weekend. My 3rd time at the race and this time sweeping with a crack team of 5 stonehaven running club lads. What an adventure - so many ups and downs; unfortunately we saw the ends of people's dreams on multiple occasions and watching them slowly run out of juice until they had to DNF was sad. And very weird juxtaposed with super awesome happy news coming in every hour from 15 hrs onwards as our pals all knocked it out of the park.
We came in with the last runner about 34.5hrs; i've never been more exhausted but it was so amazing to see the final runners make it after accompanying them on such a journey. When can we do it all again?!
Oh and if I had a quid for every person who told me they'd see me on the start line next year... Well, i'd have a lot of pounds. I'm still not sure.

I do seem to get a bit better the longer it goes on. i'm odd, I know
incredible amount of feedback to the race, Ian is bit overwhelmed by it all. Makes it all worthwhile. thanks everyone

What a weekend. Huge congrats to all runners (both those who finished and those who didn't), and thanks to organiser, volunteers, rescue teams, support crews, spectators - just everyone involved. Epic.
Special mention to Cameron who had to pull out - I can just imagine how gutted you must be. It's yours next year!
