Think the overheating was down to effort, I was in vest for a lot of race and roasty. Both of you in different ways were working your bodies hard

I found it hot even walking from Lundavra to Ft William at 2am - seemed warmer than during the day!

Santa, no worries about not getting a chance to chat much at the pub - I know you're a popular lady. :-)

I was taking it relatively easy early on. Looking back now at slowly detrerriating my condition during the race , I think the over heating on my part was due to the muggy weather early on and then some electrolyte shortage later on. Somehow i was dehydrated as well and then i think i drank to much to try and compensate. I one point i though i'd drink the streams dry ! Not sure how that came about as i'm pretty clued up on this stuff and take care. I'll take a longer look at my nutrition for the next one.

That said, i think sometimes shit just happens and while looking at it is fine, trying to find one solid answer might not be possible.

Maybe i should have sat down with a pint or two at kingshouse and it may have all come back together !

Having a real think about whether i run lakeland 100 now baring in mind my dreadful run would be top 50 in ULTD and the average finishing time is 37 hours.

looking forward to the blog sandy. :-) x

Well done Flip for not giving up, I don't think I would have the same determination. In fact it's bloody brilliant that you finished considering how you felt. Great effort mate. :)

Echo Boab's words, that is a great effort, flip, one to be very proud.

Lol i didn't want him to think there was a chance he should stop. We told him to he'd be fine.
