My runner completed in 22:16. I ran the last 35 with him. He had a very very low point from Bridge of Orchy to just outside Glencoe and there were times when I thought Glencoe would be our stopping point, but I am so glad I persevered with making him drink and eat. He ran the last sections with real grit and determination and made up a lot of lost ground and places.
Having now ran 60 odd miles of this route I am in utter awe of the guys who run it in 15-16 hours and equally to anyone who finishes it. As far as tough races go this has to be one of them. Highlight for me was the view into kinlochleven from the top of the devils staircase, my country is beautiful. A huge well done to every fetchie who ran or supported over the last day or so, it's a fabulous achievement.
