But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

How are people finding vote chess? Hopefully people are learning even if they aren't commenting. I certainly have.

If something doesn't make sense or you have a different idea always worth saying something. Good to bounce ideas around.

We're thinking of having a vote chess match limited to sub 1100 and would try and arrange for the opposition to match. Would people be interested?

Goofee I feel it is better to explore my ineptitude on this thread rather than fill a game thread with me trying to understand how to play the vote chess?
I think I have joined both games - playing white and black. I seem to be in the list for both?
There is no chat where we are playing black - is this because white have not played, or have I not actually joined that game?

No chat because we're waiting to see what they play.

Note the chat goes into an archive after every move we play (but not when they play).

The vote chess chat dies not seem that well suited to use with a phone; the keypad completely obscures the text window... so you cannot see what you have just typed!?

Ok, so when they are playing our chat will always be blank regardless how far into the game we are? Makes sense to keep visible chat pertinent to the move in hand?

I haven't played on my phone so can't comment on any ways around the chat issue. It is worth checking the 'Follow' box so that you are notified when any team member adds a comment.

It’s worth seeing if there’s an easier way to access Archive chat from previous moves where we’ve discussed strategy, as David points out - it’s wiped after every move.

Our German opps said there is an easier way of seeing this chat than clicking on Archive & then the previous move to see the chat.

I’ll check what they suggested and post the method here…..
