When do I find out if I have secured a place through the ballot? A. The results of the ballot for the 2016 race will go out from Wednesday 30 September and you should have heard by 7 October. Everyone from the UK who gains a place in the ballot is sent a print Congratulations magazine. If you haven’t heard from us by 7 October, please contact our helpdesk on 020 7902 0200, but not before! For the first time this year, we are trialling an e-zine version of the Commiserations magazine. A random selection of approximately 50 per cent of unsuccessful applicants are sent the Commiserations magazine and the remainder are sent the e-zine version. Overseas applicants will be contacted via email
