I have a vague idea (probably from watching that 'great fibs of history thing with Lucy Worsley about the 'glorious revolution' . I do love a bit of Lucy Worsley) that the Dutch more or less invented the concept of constitutional monarchy where the actual power stays with the elected government and the monarch is a figurehead to be wheeled out for added pomp at state occasions. I could be completely wrong about that, of course.

Got very run down on Wednesday so took a day off (still walked 3m) forced myself to do a workout today as I need the balance.

Passed the 300 mile marker at the weekend just ahead of target for the month and still 11 days to go. I have slowed it down Elsie, I have horrific coldsores and still feeling exhausted. Got up this morning to run but went back to sleep so its a quiet day today, I have my auntie and uncle, mum and dad coming for pizza tonight. Uncle is undergoing chemo so we have to pick the days carefully, today is not too bad a day weather wise and he is on an up after the treatment crash last week.
