This is getting silly !

I was bottom 3 and got relegated
Into top place by a decent margin
Promoted straight into a relegation place
Back down and I am top of the league again by 11 points and due to get promoted again next week into relegation spot again !

I'm in a not dissimilar situation to Baz.
I had 5 promotions in the 1st 9 or 10 months I've been on UTMOST, but in the 3 weeks since the revamp to weekly promotions/relegations I've been relegated twice. Currently I'm in a promotion spot.
Trouble is, I'm a distance runner so I can't and don't want to race every week to affect my standing.

Hi, I'm the same. I did some feedback to Fetch and he said that the points are based on times in the last 12 months so the standings will change. Hopefully after my marathon I will have enough points to stay promoted!

Steady
Ditto here. Up and down without fail. Was only in second place but up I go, into stone last place, second last many points ahead of me. Well I guess it is better than sitting mid table not moving at all and just watching all the moves. That will be boring.

I have two chances this week to knock Fetch out of the promotion places. :D

Bah! If my understanding is correct, my 9.6 km trail race last night was run at fast enough a pace to improve my 5 mile time from 36:39 (actual) to around 36:21. Which would be good enough to take me from 68 to 71 points, but Fetch remains on 72. Second chance tomorrow night, on knackered legs.

About This Thread

Start in the bottom division, and compete over seven different distances against your rivals for weekly promotion!

How It Works
1) The game takes your best times from training and racing over the last 12 months.

2) If you've got the fastest 5k in your division, you get 20 points. If you're second fastest, you get 19 points, etc.

3) Your FIVE best scores are used to calculate your total. So if your scores at each distance are 20,20,20,20,20,10,5 the lowest two are discarded, and your total points would be 100.

4) Promotion and relegation happen every Monday at midday.
