I have a horrendous cycling gilet that is in my bag for emergencies. It is handy in races where you need a little extra warmth but not a full extra layer. Weighs only a few grams

Montane Featherlite in Pertex is a big favourite of mine. We’ve done nearly 17 miles today with some bog trotting and I carried a Montane Fireball Primaloft just in case along with another old favourite - a pair of Buffalo mitts 🔥

Very similar kitties for me (even though I'm still on shorter stuff), I have an Alpkit Arro windproof that I use a lot, it keeps enough rain off me, keeps the wind out and will add a wee bit of warmth (but not much). I then have a Montane Primaloft top for warming up (https://www.ultralightoutdoorgear.co.uk/new-in-c171/prism-ultra-insulated-pull-on-p14138), along with a merino hat and gloves. Though if the forecast is properly bad then I'll take a bigger hat and a proper waterproof.

Any other windproof recommendations? Slightly annoyingly I can only find the Montane Featherlite in pink in my size, I try and avoid pink on principle 😅

I have a waterproof OMM Halo jacket which is the absolute dogs doo dahs. Slightly more substantial than the Montane Featherlight which I've had a few of but much better and still very light and packable. I also like inov8's lightweight windproof and have one of the ones that Flanker refers to - which is known as my sleeping bag jacket as it's so toasty.

FGB - if you go to ultralightoutdoorgear, link above, you can search for windproof jackets and smocks, they've got quite a choice

Thanks LMH, I had been pondering the OMM Halo already, would you say it’s good from a windproof point of view i.e. keeping some warmth in without getting too hot? Also, what’s the sizing like?
