The Tea Room round is a cracking day out. Am thinking of having another go sometime in the Spring, didn't give it my best shot last time. Espresso Round is entertaining too!

My BiL suggested it previously, but I was injured last time we were in the Lakes.
He did the BG last year so he'll might be doing a lot of waiting around if he comes along.

Get plenty of climb in your legs in advance and show him how it's done

Fragile Do Not Bend
First week of my ultra training plan completed wi5 a 9 mile run.
In the end I abandoned the idea of a ‘strict’ training plan, I would never stick to it - life always gets in the way. I’m going to stick to what’s has served me well so far - a minimum of two short runs a week, ideally tempo and speed work, and gradually increasing length long runs including ‘cut backs’.

Welcome lin50. Don't listen to anything they say in this thread or anywhere else - all ultra runners are bonkers! Good luck with your ultra! G
