I swam this evening. The event was notable for the inelegant way I got out of the sea - quite big waves are fun while you're in the water, but a nightmare when you're trying to climb up a steep pebble bank to get out. (I normally avoid this part of the beach but was meeting up with local friends who like it because it's much less busy. I wonder why that is?)
It was also notable for the large amounts of various types of seaweed inside my swimsuit when I got in the shower at home :-0

Nice little bike ride down to Belgium and a little drinkie in the sun by the canal last night, a stark contrast to today where I'm exploring the potential for underwater lawn mowing as a new Olympic sport.
