In the horse trading over how many cars, and someone deciding at the last minute to bring their boyfriend and drive separately, so those of us who met at the designated spot thought we'd fit in just one car, but neither car thought about who would pick up our coach. Luckily I realised this just before we left.

I didn't make the 2hr 30 cut off but it didn't matter because I was 5th out of 7 in my age category so wouldn't have got a podium place anyway. Only 2 women in the F65-69 AG beat the 2hrs 30 which suggests it's a bit mean. I finished in 2:41, my slowest road Half ever but given the heat and what we're all calling la collina bastarda at the end, not unhappy with that. Unlike my digestive system, which is very unhappy indeed
