Busy day. Woke up to overnight ice-bomb. Gently defrosted the vehicles and spread grit/salt on the paths. Then a couple of hours processing the woodpile before heading off to the Legion Xmas Lunch (Jamie driving… his first taste of iced up lanes!*). Then shopping in Dundee followed by the combined churches’ Carol Service. Home for pizza. Very busy day.

*A nervy start, but better than Bambi 🤣. He did well, and he has to get used to these conditions.

Morning Totters, morning All.

I really enjoyed carols last night. Me and the Young Lad belting them out like we’re at Murrayfield :) The town band (brass) were there too. I like a brass ensemble.

Today I’ve discovered that 2 hours chopping wood in the cold isn’t conducive to good back health. Struggled to get out of bed, struggling to walk unaided and currently popping co-codamol to get some relief. Hoping it’s temporary and can be solved with a suite of physio stretches.

I have an appointment with the GP about the knee later (if she refers me onward any subsequent treatments should be covered by our health insurance).
